Yipee a new Barn!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea!!!!!!!! We signed a contract on Thursday night for our new barn!!!!!!!! It took a bit longer then I thought it would but now we have the plans set, and a time frame of when they will be begin. And hubby is soo happy!!! And that in turn makes me happy that he is happy!!! I can't wait till he gets it done cause he will be HERE at our house working on equipment and I can go out and bother him!!! And steal his tools when I get another wild hair... Farmer is probably hoping I won't get one of those for awhile at least till the spring maybe. But I'm thinking I need to start on our bedroom now!!! Whatcha think? Or maybe paint the spare bedroom that way if I get pregnant then he won't have to worry about doing it :) See I'm such a thoughtful wifey!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend out there in the blogging world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting Game

Well we have scheduled our consult with my doctor on why we haven't been able to conceive. We have to wait till the 14th of November. I hate the waiting game!!!! I feel like I play this game every month and I know that I have to wait till the 14th and then I will just have to turn around and wait some more. I know I'm just beginning this whole process and I feel guilty whining about how hard this is for me but every women in my family is so freaking fertile!!!! My sister just sent me the email update on her 35th week of pregnancy!!! This is her 4th child!! I'm not mad that she is pregnant! But with her little 35th week e-mail update she had to throw in a few little comments about how outrageous fertility clinics are and how they make people go threw some of the stupidest things when all they need to do is "JUST RELAX"!!! And do it naturally!!! Thats all it takes to get pregnant!!!! I swear if someone else tells me that this is the secret to pregancy then I will scream or beat them senseless!!! Of course I will wait until my sister has delivered her perfest little bundle of joy that she only conceived because she was completly relaxed when she was creating it. Then I will take her out back and beat her!! But she has NEVER EVER had a problem with conceiving, pregnancy, or delivery. I have so many issues with her its not even funny. She has mid wives deliver her babies the last 2 she has ahd at home and she says there are more complications with having a baby at a hospital then there are benifits!!!!!! And I of course feel the exact oppsite then she does. If I were able to get pregnant I would take every advantage given me to make sure my baby was taken care of in those first precious moments that you can never get back if something goes wrong... God Forbid!!!!

I hate feeling so upset by her choice but it eats me up to read her emails when I can't even make a choice on were to birth my baby...

Sorry this was just a vent and I love her, please don't think that I don't I just don't agree with her choices sometimes...

Wild Hair!!!!

Well I didn't get icky weather like i prayed for... But I got beautiful weather and I decided to take a half day off on Friday and go shopping for paint!!! I thought My Farmer won't be able to argue with me if I get paint up on the walls before he got home. So Friday morning I went to work since we weren't going to have a muddy day after all and told the guys to hold down the fort for me cause I was leaving at noon. So I clocked out ate lunch with a friend and headed for Menard's It was so wonderful looking at paints!!! And dreaming of beautiful colored walls in my old farm house.

Well I narrowed it down to 2 brownie tan colors and then picked one out of those 2. And bought a quart to try. Well I was home by 2:30 and painting my kitchen/living room wall by 3:00 and wondering what my hubby was going to say when he saw it... Thanking God that I married a laid back guy!!! And so then I thought I better paint another wall in the living room while I was at it to get the Full affect!! So I painted a wall behind the sofa and next to a window cause I wanted to make sure it matched my curtains too. So by 8:00 everything was back in place except that I had 2 big brown patches on my walls!!! And so I hurried and made spaghetti for supper (hubby's favorite) and he came in and I said what do you think? Well he said what are you going to do with the border? Well it was obvious to me... Get rid of the damn thing!!!! But my hubby's momma put it up when he bought the house 10 years ago so I tread ed lightly... Well Ryan it is blue and white checks and our whole living room is actually browns and blues not whites and blues... Good argument right? So he said whatever!!! That is my cue to graciously thank him and kiss him on the cheek and jump up and down cause I got my way!!! I'm still confused on why his mother put that border on the wall considering the paint that was on the wall was like an off white more like a dark ivory and she put up a blue check on bright white background which has driven me absolutely nuts for the past 3 plus years I've lived there. But in order for me to pull off projects of this magnitude and not have arguments from my dear hubby I must time them during planting or harvest season so I can actually get most of the work done while he is out of the house and not able to put up much of a fight!!! Not that he fights he mostly states that whatever it is I'm wanting is too much work and I get to prove him wrong... Except in instances where I want to paint behind the fridge and I end up yanking the water line out of the thingy ma bob and it gets water everywhere... I was so proud of myself Monday night I got the painting done cause I had taken another 1/2 day off to finish and my mom came to help that afternoon. And behind the fridge was the last place I had to paint. So I rolled it out careful not to pull to hard on the lines and painted everything and hubby came home while it was drying. And said he would roll it back cause I was scared if I pushed it back I might scuff up my freshly painted walls so I pulled the tape down in the living room and did some touch ups while he was showering. It was about 8:30 by now and I still hadn't gotten supper on and mom hurried to help me get stuff put back in place and my farmer came out of the bathroom and rolled it back into place and he got a glass to get some water from the fridge and realized that it wasn't working. Well I knew immediately what I had done!!! I had tried to prove that I could work on the house and not cause "too much trouble" and everything would work out. But it didn't and I had really screwed up this time. Well dear darling hubby had to put his boots on to go down to our old bat cave of a basement and when he made it down there and I heard just one expletive and then he hollered my name and said yeah you pulled the water line out of some thingy that I can't remember the name of. And water was all over the floor. But all I could think of was thanking God that I had spent the money this summer and bought brand new Rubbermaid storage containers for all my Christmas decorations and junk that had been sitting in cardboard boxes. But I wasn't about to bring that up... After hubby had been working in the field all day and didn't get in till after 8:00 and then he has to clean up a big mess after his wife got a wild hair to "Fix Up the House" so. Hubby came up the stairs soaked cause water was squirting everywhere and said he thought he had what he needed back at the barn. So he ran out the door mom said goodbye and hightailed it to Gibson co. And I was all alone to think of some way to make it up to him. So I threw some water on to boil and prayed that he had what he needed close by so he could fix it quick and I wouldn't have to hear him cussing under his breath about painting and decorating a perfectly good house... Well hubby found the thingy ma bob that he needed back at the shop and had it fixed and by the time he had it fixed I had made him Chicken fettucini and he was over being mad about the water cause the house did look fabulous!!! It wasn't bad for a klutzy wife who tries to hard to prove a point

Rain Rain come and stay....

Oh yea its raining!!!! Every one pray that it rains for the rest of the day maybe tomorrow too. I want a day off with my Hubby!!!!! If I get my wish I will have him to myself all day on Friday!!!! But that is only if it rains a whole bunch!!! So God please open up the sky for me. Cause I miss my hubby!!! My hubby is a farmer and harvest is in full swing as is planting season also, because we put out winter wheat. So if it rains he will have to hold off for a couple days and I'm wanting some face time!!!! Our friends have invited us to go with them to Kentucky for the day to a gun shoot and show and they are leaving early am on Friday. Ryan has always wanted to go but we have always been to busy to go before because of harvest taking 1st priority over fun stuff. But if we get more rain I can see him for more then 2 hours at a time!!! (Note: This rain will not ruin anything we won't lose anything if we get more rain it will just keep him from planting!!! Just thought I would clarify that. I don't want any farmers blaming me for ruining my hubby's crops!) But yes I guess you could say I'm praying for selfish reasons though and that isn't ever a good thing to do but I'm guilty!!!

Okay I'm guilty of doing anything in my power to get as much time with my husband as I possibly can. Cause I know one day we will look back at these times and wish we had all that "free time " to spend together again...

New Barn!! Hopefully!!!

My hubby and I’s latest adventure has been barn shopping. I tell you there is no one person more aggressive then a barn salesman! We have had at least 10 salesmen to our home over the past 2 weeks. And I’m ashamed to say I’m in sales when I meet these people! I know my job doesn’t depend on landing an $80,000.00 deal every week but jeez!!! Let up!!! I’m actually ducking one’s call right now as I’m typing!! The reason we need a new barn is: most of our equipment sheds our quite old and a tad outdated for some of our newer equipment. Our “new to us” combine is about 6 years old and we bought it last year and it is entirely too tall for our barn on the Knox Co. farm. But I do think that was part of dear hubby’s plan though: buy equipment to big for barn we currently have, so we would have to build a bigger and better barn!!! He is so smart!! That must be why I married him!!!! :) Anyway we have been haggling back and forth with some of these companies for weeks now and our field will soon be ready for a building and hubby is still negotiating prices with some of these guys. So hopefully by mid-week this week I will be able to write that we have closed the deal!!!

Bailing Straw

I just wanted to say this is one of those breathtaking moments that I realize how awesome my life is. And how I shouldn't ever take any of this for granted!! I took these pictures earlier this spring. My husband is putting up bales of straw and it was so beautiful that evening. A storm was trying to roll in. It was just such a cool evening. I just wanted to post these pictures from that night. So everyone could take a peek at my little life.
